Dr Mike Dodd

Dr Mike Dodd is a senior scientist at AgResearch Ltd, having been with that organization and its predecessor (MAFTech) for 29 years. He obtained a PhD in grassland ecology from Colorado State University in 1997 and has been based at a number of research centres, including Whatawhata, Ruakura, CSIRO Perth (visiting scientist), Grasslands and Newstead (DairyNZ secondment). His work has covered a wide range of disciplines relevant to pastoral agriculture, including pasture ecology, soil carbon and soil fertility, grassland modelling, catchment management, agroforestry, ecology of forest fragments, alternative forages, and legumes in hill country.
