Vision
To be the recognized Champion of Agricultural & Horticultural Science in New Zealand
Organization
NZIAHS is an incorporated society, governed by a National Council of elected members and supported by a paid secretariat. Regional activities are organized by nine local committees.
With nearlt 800 members, NZIAHS is the result of the recent amalgamation of the New Zealand Institute of Agricultural Science and the New Zealand Horticultural Society. NZIAHS Constitution (92 KB, PDF)
NZIAHS is a proactive, independent group working for the continued development of agriculture and horticulture in New Zealand.
NZIAHS regularly addresses political issues and makes submissions on areas that affect agricultural and horticultural and science policies.

Our members are researchers, lecturers, communicators, consultants, research managers, agribusiness people, directors, and farmers. They are drawn from scientific research, consultancy, education, government and industry.
Their expertise ranges over areas such as biotechnology, traditional plant and animal breeding, organic production and ecosystem management.
Members can both update and search our confidential database.
Non-members can view the Public Database and contact members through the Secretariat.
