NZIAHS Science Award (by Application)

Purpose: The NZIAHS Science Award was established in 1998, as part of the continuing effort to provide rewards for excellence for members. The award will provide leverage for further funding from other bodies and is unlikely to provide total funding for a project.

Value: Up to $1,500.00

Eligibility: The applicant must be a Full member of NZIAHS and the project must be of benefit to New Zealand. Eligible activities include study tours, research sabbaticals, attendance at conferences, training courses, and bringing eminent scientists to New Zealand for speaking tours. In all cases the impact of a successful application (i.e. the benefit to New Zealand agriculture and horticulture, the members of NZIAHS and to the applicant) must be specified. The track record of the applicant will also be considered; please attach a FRST-type cv.

Follow Up: Successful applicants will be required to give a report (within two months of completion of the project) of highlights of their 'activity' suitable for publication in AgScience.

Procedure: All applications must be made on the NZIAHS nomination form.

The forms and all documents must be sent to: NZIAHS Secretariat
